Broken Angels

Does anyone else find it super intriguing when tv "angels" go bad? There is usually a bit of an uproar and then everyone forgets, everyone except me. Take for instance Mackenzie Rosman, the actress that plays Ruthie Camden, the youngest daughter in 7th Heaven. Ruthie's character was quite curious about sex and we were led to believe she actually had sex while in Scotland but it turns out she was lying. In a couple of episodes she showed off her saucy dance moves much to the shock of her poor father Eric, and myself. Below is a photo that surfaced online that caused a considerable uproar at the time. Poor girl, I just googled her and one of the searches that came up was "Mackenzie Rosman depression". I honestly hope she is OK but after the trauma of being raised on the set of 7th Heaven it wouldn't be any wonder if she turns to drugs and alcohol to deal with it.



This picture is also supposedly of Mackenzie but it is hard to tell.



Jessica Biel, who played Mary Camden on 7th Heaven was another story.



Taken from Wikipedia: "In 2000, during the fourth season of 7th Heaven, Biel commented that she had grown tired of playing the wholesome preacher's kid, and blamed the show for giving her a squeaky-clean image, causing her to lose out on a role in American Beauty (the part went to Thora Birch). In a last-ditch attempt to be released from her contract, she posed semi-nude for the cover of Gear magazine. The shoot sparked considerable controversy as Biel was still under eighteen at the time. Fans and producers of 7th Heaven were outraged, and the latter brought legal action against Gear magazine. 7th Heaven producer Aaron Spelling made it clear that Biel would be staying with the show for the remainder of her contract, although Biel appeared in minimal episodes in season five, due to her character attending college out of state. She has stated that she regrets the Gear shoot but considers it a learning experience.^"



Maureen McCormack as Marcia Brady is another tv angel that fell from grace in reality. I received her book Here's the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice as a birthday gift last year. It was pretty amazing that she played such a wholesome perfect girl, the girl everyone wanted to be while suffering mental issues and drug addiction.

*edit* this news just in, nude pics of Renee Olstead who plays Madison on the squeaky-clean show Secret Life of the American Teenager have surfaced. Why oh why are these girls all taking nude pics of themselves?
